Andrew C. Taylor

Executive Chairman

Andrew C. (Andy) Taylor has been part of Enterprise Mobility since he was 16, when he started washing cars during school vacations to help his father — and organization founder — Jack Taylor at the original St. Louis offices. More than 50 years later, he now serves as executive chairman of the organization.

Throughout his time with the business, Taylor has been recognized for his leadership and foresight. In 2009, he became one of only 90 travel industry professionals to be inducted into the U.S. Travel Hall of Leaders since its inception in 1969. In 2014, he also was inducted into the Business Travel Hall of Fame for his contributions to the business travel industry. Taylor has been featured repeatedly in The Harvard Business Review for his role in the 2007 acquisition of National and Alamo.

In 1976, Taylor became the general manager of Enterprise Rent-A-Car’s St. Louis regional operations. He was promoted to president and chief operating officer in 1980. He was then named chief executive officer in 1991, chairperson in 2001 and executive chairman in 2013 — the role he still holds today.

Taylor has always remained close to the family business, even when gaining valuable experience working elsewhere. After earning a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Denver, he began working for RLM Leasing, a Ford Motor Company affiliate in San Francisco. Three years later, he returned to Enterprise Mobility to help steer the organization’s fleet of 5,000 vehicles (at the time) toward greater success.

Taylor is passionate about giving back and personally works to strengthen a number of organizations in the St. Louis region. He currently serves on the board of directors for the Crawford Group and Greater St. Louis, Inc. He is also a trustee for the Naval Aviation History Foundation, Washington University in St. Louis and Missouri Botanical Garden.
