Enterprise Mobility has launched a shared mobility pilot project with Herzebrock-Clarholz, a municipality in the district of Gütersloh, North Rhine-Westphalia, to test sustainable and share electric mobility in Germany.
As part of this collaboration, the municipality has adopted an electric vehicle from Enterprise Mobility for its employees’ travel needs. The electric vehicle is also available to city employees outside of work hours through a convenient car sharing model. This initiative offers Herzebrock-Clarholz employees a chance to experience electric mobility in their daily lives while also exploring the benefits of shared transport options.
"We’re excited about our partnership with Herzebrock-Clarholz as we continue to bring new innovations and ideas to the mobility space," Enterprise Mobility Corporate Vice President in Germany Jason Altman said. "As a partner for both the public and private sectors, we’re dedicated to introducing solutions through car rental and car sharing that contribute to more sustainable transportation. Projects like this one in Herzebrock-Clarholz are instrumental in turning theory into practice."
The pilot project aims to achieve two key goals: first, to assess the potential reduction in emissions while driving, and second, to gain practical insights into the use of electric vehicles. To support these efforts, the vehicle is equipped with advanced telematics technology to gather essential vehicle data and understand how e-mobility can optimize their business travel.
