As a long-standing supporter of the military, Enterprise Rent-A-Car® – the flagship brand of Enterprise Mobility – once again is teaming up with Progressive Insurance® to honor veterans through the 12th annual Keys to Progress® veteran vehicle giveaway program. Keys to Progress empowers veterans and military organizations across the nation by providing vehicles annually, helping them reclaim their independence and improve their quality of life.
This year's Keys to Progress giveaway once again features vehicles purchased by Progressive from Enterprise Mobility's U.S. fleets, with Enterprise Rent-A-Car also providing six months of auto insurance to each recipient. The 90 vehicles given away this year brings the total number of donated vehicles from this annual program to more than 1,100 vehicles since 2013.
Enterprise Mobility’s rich military history is rooted in its founder Jack Taylor’s experience as a decorated World War II Navy Hellcat fighter pilot. The brand “Enterprise” honors the ship he served on – the USS Enterprise. Taylor applied the lessons he learned in the Navy about honor, respect and integrity to create what has become the world’s largest vehicle rental business.
Today, Enterprise Mobility continues to honor Taylor’s legacy by supporting military members and their families in a variety of ways, including a $12 million commitment over 12 years to Fisher HouseTM Foundation. These funds, provided through the Enterprise Mobility FoundationTM, help Fisher House Foundation provide no-cost housing for military and veteran families while a loved one is in the hospital as well as scholarships for children of fallen or disabled service members.
Enterprise Mobility also actively partners with organizations that strengthen the military community. Last year, Enterprise Rent-A-Car extended a partnership with the USO in Guam and expanded its support of the USO with its franchise partner in South Korea. These partnerships are designed to help the USO support its mission, which aims to strengthen America’s military service members by keeping them connected to family, home, and country.
As part of the agreement, Enterprise team members have the opportunity to volunteer alongside USO staff throughout the year to welcome guests, provide information and ensure a warm and inviting atmosphere for visitors.
